The Azim Premji Foundation’s flagship Azim Premji Scholarship 2025 window closes today. Applicants must submit their forms before 11:59 pm to be considered for the ₹30,000 annual scholarship earmarked for eligible girl students.
Launched in September 2025, this cohort aims to support girl students who have transitioned from government schools and are entering their first year of undergraduate or diploma programmes. The scholarship is a key component of the Foundation’s broader goal to expand access to higher education across 18 Indian states, potentially benefiting up to 2.5 lakh students this year.
Who is eligible?
To qualify for the Azim Premji Scholarship 2025, applicants must meet all of the following conditions:
- Must be a girl student.
- Must have passed Class 10 and Class 12 as a regular student from a government school or college in one of the eligible states or Union Territories.
- Must have enrolled in the first year (Academic session 2025–26) of a recognized undergraduate or diploma course (2 to 5 years duration) in a government or bona fide private institution.
- Applicants to Azim Premji University programmes or those who have already received Wipro scholarships (e.g. the Santoor scholarship) are ineligible.
- There is no merit cutoff or fixed income ceiling, but all eligibility criteria must be met.
Eligible states include (but are not limited to) Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Assam, Odisha, Telangana, and more.
How to apply — step by step
- Visit the official portal
Go to the Azim Premji Foundation’s website and navigate to “What We Do → Education → Azim Premji Scholarship → Apply Now.” - Registration / login
If you’re a new applicant, click “Register (New Applicants Cohort 2025)”. Existing users may log in using their credentials.
You will need to provide a valid mobile number (OTP verification) and basic personal details. - Fill application form & upload documents
You must upload:- Recent 2″×2″ passport photograph (plain background)
- Signature (scanned)
- Bank passbook front page or last month’s bank statement (with account name, number, IFSC)
- Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets (fully legible, unedited)
- Proof of college admission (bonafide certificate or tuition fee receipt listing course, year, issuing authority, seal)
- All files must be in JPG/PNG/PDF format and sized between 30 KB and 500 KB.
- Submit & save acknowledgment
After reviewing your entries, submit the form and download or note your acknowledgment/receipt.
Selection and disbursal
Applications will undergo verification against eligibility criteria. Once cleared, the scholarship of ₹30,000 per year is disbursed directly to the bank account of the selected student, typically in two installments of ₹15,000 each per academic year.
Continuation of the scholarship in future years is contingent upon renewal; recipients will need to reapply annually and maintain enrolment status without interruption.
Why this matters
The Azim Premji Scholarship 2025 expands significantly beyond its pilot phase, aiming to support up to 2.5 lakh girls across 18 states. In its 2024–25 cycle, the Foundation backed over 25,000 students in select districts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Jharkhand.
