#SayNoToPlasticTiranga: Campaign launched by Koo app

The indigenous microblogging site Koo has started the SayNoToPlasticTiranga campaign on the special occasion of Independence Day. The purpose of this campaign is to say no to plastic Tiranga. Koo App has started this campaign in partnership with Mitti Foundation. This campaign has started on August 13, under which people will be motivated to use paper and cloth Tiranga instead of plastic Tiranga.

Koo’s SayNoToPlasticTiranga campaign is also getting the support of many big leaders including UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has spoken about this campaign. Apart from this, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Dev has also supported SayNoToPlasticTiranga.

Let us tell you that the Union Home Ministry had issued an advisory on the occasion of Republic Day in January this year, in which people have been appealed not to use the Tiranga made of plastic. Apart from this, the Ministry of Home Affairs had also instructed the states and union territories to strictly follow the flag code.

In the advisory issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, strict instructions were given to the states that the states should ensure that the flags being used by the people are not made of plastic but made of paper and those flags should be given the dignity of the flag. Maintain and dispose of them properly. The ministry said that flags made of plastic do not decompose naturally like those made of paper, they do not decompose for a long time.
