SBI WhatsApp Banking: SBI has now enabled its customers to access banking services through WhatsApp, including checking account balances and viewing mini statements. Here is a guide on how to utilize SBI’s WhatsApp service.

Step 1: Registration

To use SBI WhatsApp Banking, you need to register first. To register, send an SMS to 7208933148 with the message “WAREG” followed by a space and your account number. Make sure to send this message from the same number registered in your SBI account.

Step 2:  Send a message to WhatsApp number 90226 90226

After registering, you will receive a message from  90226 90226 on your WhatsApp. You should save this number for future reference.

Step 3: Start WhatsApp banking

To receive the following message, send the message “Hi SBI” to the number 90226 90226 or reply to the message you received on WhatsApp. The message will read: “Dear Customer, Welcome to SBI WhatsApp Banking Services! Please select one of the following options: 1. Account Balance, 2. Mini Statement, 3. De-register from WhatsApp Banking.

Other banks offering similar services

To obtain information about your bank balance, send the number “1”. To receive a mini statement, send the number “2”. To de-register your account, send the number “3”. Other banks that provide WhatsApp banking services include ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, IDFC First Bank, and Axis Bank.

SBI Card WhatsApp

SBI credit card holders can access WhatsApp-based services through the platform to check their account overview, reward points, unpaid balance, and more. To register for the system, they can send a WhatsApp message with ‘OPTIN’ to 9004022022, make a missed call from the registered mobile phone to 08080945040, or use the mobile app.
